Traditional Grappa from Sardinia. In past times illegal "bootleg Grappa" was widespread across Sardinia. It was traditionally produced in gourds instead of bottles and it was common to bury the incriminating eveidence tied to a piece of wire which marked the hiding place. Hence the name Fil'e Ferru (iron wire).

Thankfully today we can all enjoy it! Bresca Dorada, based in the South East of the island, produce this grappa with the same tradition, care and passion as those who once made it for close family and friends. Salute!
