Manchego PDO cheese is a true Spanish classic from the region of La Mancha and this is one of the finest examples from a local artisan producer. This is the Curado version, aged carefully for 6 months where it acquires a firm, slightly granular texture and pale yellow colour.
It is made with pasteurised sheep’s milk from the Manchega breed which feed on the wild vegetation typical of La Mancha and that makes the Manchego cheese so special.
Its persistent flavours feature a background of mellow sweetness with a hint of tang typical to good Manchego, together with notes of butter and nuts.
The Curado Manchego is a true all-round cheese suitable for so many uses.
Manchego, along with serrano ham are the essential ingredients for any tapas. The cheese effortlessly cuts into thin slices and is perfect on its own, in salads, sandwiches or pizza!
