Chorizo Dulce Extra Riojana PGI
A superb Chorizo from the Sierras Riojanas, the mountain areas of the fabulous Rioja region. The curing takes place at altitude in the perfect climate and follows ancient methods handed down from generation to generation, now marked by the PGI certification.
The chorizo is made from lean pork which is minced and seasoned with paprika, spices, garlic and salt then slowly air-cured.
It is full-flavoured with a nice hint of smoke. Sliced thinly, Chorizo Riojana is a classic for tapas or starters and brilliant too in sandwiches, salads, pasta sauces and on pizza. Add it to other sauces too for a lovely, distinctive Spanish flavour!
Its vivid red colour and traditional horseshoe shape make it a feature of any antipasti board!
