The wonderful Cecina de León IGP, one of Spain’s finest delicacies.
Cecina de León is an air-dried, smoked beef from the most succulent hind part of the native bovine breeds of Castilla and León It has been made in these parts since at least 4000 BC and has now been granted IGP protected status. The only ingredients allowed are beef, salt and lots of time!
It ages in special drying sheds for at least 12 months to give an exquisite texture, flavour and characteristic aroma. Perfect as the stand-out meat in any platter.
Even its colour is special, the outer part is a dark, toasted brown colour while inner parts show different shades from cherry red to garnet.
Contains no preservatives or artificial colouring and is Gluten Free.
