Produced by the Fratelli Petrucci, award winning artisan cheesemakers from the mountain areas between Lazio and Umbria. Here the sheep graze peacefully on the area’s voluptuous pastures and the Ewe’s milk obtained is rich, creamy and full of flavour.
Whole, fresh peppercorns are added to the milk and the pecorino is left to rest for 30 days until it acquires its semi-soft consistency and mild yet vivid and fresh taste.
Delicious on its own or as part of a refined cheese board, this black peppercorn pecorino won’t go unnoticed! Also delicious melted over pasta or on thick toast.
