It is a soft, spreadable chorizo sausage which is cured for up to 40 days and seasoned with local paprika and spices. Sobrassada is supremely tasty and so easy to use, no preparation is necessary.
Try it grilled on toast or bruschetta as a tapa and enjoy as the sobrassada melts… heavenly!
Great too simply spread on bread or as a sandwich ingredient, try it too as part of sauce for pasta or risottos!
Sobrassada is made from the meat of the local porc negre or black pig and seasoned with salt, local paprika and spices, without artificial colours.
