A delicious salami produced by artisan experts at Gelli Salumificio near Siena in Tuscany. The Tuscan salami is the Mr Gelli’s signature product. It is tender, aromatic and full of flavour.
The spianata version of this salami is placed into a cage and pressed to give it a flat shape which looks lovely when sliced, especially amongst other salami. It is then left to cure for 40 – 50 days.
The Salame Toscano is made from the leanest cuts of high quality pork meat, which is finely ground and seasoned with whole black pepper grains and aromatic herbs.
The Tuscan salami spianata is wonderful as a starter on any occasion. Try it with fresh bread, mixed grilled vegetables in oil and pickles with a glass of Chianti or IGT and bring a real taste of Tuscany into your home!
