The Pons family has been growing olives on their estate in Catalonia since 1945. Today the olives are still crushed by traditional stone mills and then processed within 12 hours of picking.
This is their magnificent single varietal Arbequina EVOO.
The first thing you notice is its intense green colour, reminiscent of expensive Tuscan oils. It has fresh fruit flavour and hints of almond. Its delicate sweetness leading to a lovely bitter finale.
There are countless culinary uses and well worth experimenting with. Perfect for salads, vegetables, fish and makes a fabulous finishing oil.
