Manchego PDO cheese is a true Spanish classic from the region of La Mancha and this is one of the finest examples from a local artisan producer.
This is the Añejo Manchego PDO cheese, aged for 10 -12 months. It is made with pasteurised sheep’s milk from the Manchega breed which feed on the wild vegetation typical of La Mancha and that makes the Manchego cheese so special.
Manchego PDO is made exclusively with pasteurised sheep’s milk from the Manchega breed.
After 12 months of careful aging it acquires a firm, slightly crumbly texture and light caramel colour.
Its persistent flavours feature a background of mellow sweetness with a hint of tang typical to good Manchego, together with notes of butter and nuts.
Manchego, along with serrano ham are the essential ingredients for any tapas. The Añejo Manchego is perfect on its own, in salads, sandwiches or pizza! Lovely with a glass of sherry.
Keep refrigerated. Best served at room temperature.
