A totally natural, refreshing and aromatic liqueur made from wild Myrtle berries by the Petrone family in Campania.
Red myrtle liqueur is a true classic from Sardinia and the Naples/Sorrento coastal area. Wild myrtle bushes thrive in these zones and produce succulent berries impossible to find anywhere else. The berries are hand-picked between November and January.
Petrone’s Myrtle Liqueur is gracefully smooth and harmonious in character with a rich aroma. It has a pronounced fruitiness and notes of Juniper, Eucalyptus and spice with a distinctive and rewarding bitter-sweet finale. Its attractive deep red colour with brilliant violet reflexes completes the sensorial attraction of this quintessential Mediterranean liqueur.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
The Antica Distilleria Petrone was founded by Antimo Petrone and his wife Maria 130 years ago in Mondragone, a small town just north of the Bay of Naples. Today, 5 generations later, Andrea Petrone continues to run the distillery with the same passion and values as his great, great grandparents. The recipes, traditional artisan production methods and quality and provenance of the ingredients remain unchanged. All the liqueurs are totally natural and free of any kind of additive.
