Barolo, the King of wines!

Barolo, situated in the northern region of Piedmont, is one of Italy’s most famous appellations (DOCGs) and has UNESCO World Heritage status.

This superb Barolo is made by a cooperative of small vineyards in the Portacomaro area of Asti where the hilly terroir provides the essence of high quality wines based on the majestic Nebbiolo grape.

The wine is aged for 4 years, 3 years in wooden barrels and 1 year resting in the bottle. Its nature is opulent with a silky black fruit character that lingers on the palate.

Perfect with truffle dishes and roast meats, game, braised or stewed beef, meat broths, lamb shanks, mushroom risottos. Try with aged Pecorino or 36 month Parmigiano Reggiano.

Barolo, the King of wines!

Barolo, situated in the northern region of Piedmont, is one of Italy’s most famous appellations (DOCGs) and has UNESCO World Heritage status.

Barolo wines are produced exclusively from the Nebbiolo grape and are often called the King of Wines! The region benefits from a continental climate (warm and temperate), with a long summer/autumn perfect for producing top quality grapes. DOCG regulations state that Barolo must be aged for a minimum of three years.

This superb Barolo is made by a cooperative of small vineyards in the Portacomaro area of Asti where the hilly terroir provides the essence of high quality wines based on the majestic Nebbiolo grape.

Grape varieties: 100% Nebbiolo.

Maceration: 15 Days

Ageing: 4 years – 3 years in wooden barrels and 1 year in bottle.

ABV: 14%

Perfume: On the nose, even as a young winem it shows a spectrum of notes ranging from eucalyptus to sweet tobacco with a finale of red berries.

Palate: The wine is deep and multifaceted, with silky and resolute tannins. Fresh, persistent and supremely elegant

Colour: Garnet red, tending to orange with aging

Origin: Piedmont, Italy

Serving temperature: 16 – 18°C. Open at least 1 hour before serving or decant.
