Beef Lasagne

LASAGNE AL FORNO – Beef Lasagne

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan. Add the onion, carrot and celery cook on a low heat for 5-10 mins stir occasionally until soft.
  2. Add the minced beef cook over a medium heat 5-10 minutes until browned all over.
  3. Add the pure and chopped tomatoes. Simmer on a low heat for 15 mins.
  4. Take the ragu and cover the bottom of a roasting tin or casserole dish. Cover with lasagne sheets, repeat this two time (ragu, lasagne sheet) finishing with a layer of lasagne sheets.
  5. In to a bowl add the creme fraiche and mix with 2tbls of water. Pour over the top layer of lasagne sheets. Tear up the mozzarella and space out over the lasagne. Cover with grated parmesan.
  6. Bake for 30 – 40 minutes in the oven 200C. when the cheese is golden brown and bubbling remove from the oven and scatter the basil leaves on top. Serve and Enjoy!!

  • - 250g Lasagne Sheets - Add to cart
  • - 800g Chopped Tomatoes - Add to cart
  • - 2 Garlic Cloves - Add to cart
  • - 2tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Add to cart
  • - 50g Parmesan Grated - Go to product
  • - 1 Large White Onion Diced
  • - 2 Celery Sticks Diced
  • - 1 Large Carrot Diced
  • - 1tbs Tomato Puree
  • - 1tsp Butter
  • - 300ml Crème Fraiche or Wine
  • - 200g Mozzarella
  • 20g Fresh Basil
TIPS:
Soffritto - aromatic mix of diced onion, carrot and celery cooked in oil. Ragu – meat-based sauce usually consisting of meat & chopped vegetables in tomatoes, stock or wine.
