Lardo & Buristo
Buy authentic Italian Lardo & Buristo online! Made using cured strips of fatback, with a combination of spices and herbs like rosemary. The Tuscan hamlet Colonnata is home to the most famous Lardo, where it has been produced since Roman times! Used typically as an antipasto, it can be sliced in very thin strips to enjoy.
In Tuscany, Buristo is made using the fat and blood of a pig cooked within the stomach. It is generally not reheated but used to spread on bread. This is the Italian equivalent of black pudding but elevated. Our entire selection of Lardo & Buristo is farmed, produced and then imported directly from Tuscany.
