San Marzano Tomatoes
At first glance San Marzano Tomatoes are thinner and more pointed. The flesh is much thicker and contains fewer seeds, with a stronger taste which tends to be sweeter and less acidic. San Marzano Tomatoes have a longer season making them particularly suitable for warm climates.
Originating from the small town of San Marzano sul Sarno, near Naple. San Marzano Tomatoes were first grown in volcanic soil of Mount Vesuvius!
