Fig Bread with candied orange Pan de Higos con naranja  is a lovely traditional bread cake from Andalusia. It is lovely on its own as a snack and goes divinely with all kinds of cheese and desserts.

There’s really no bread to it at all. It is simply figs, dates, apricots, oranges and almonds mixed together into a sturdy paste, formed into a patty ready for slicing.

This flavour profile makes it the perfect counterpart to Manchego and other aged cheeses. Amazing with a good mature cheddar, our 30 month Parmesan or some stronger soft cheeses.

These dark, sticky, nut-studded slices are a must for any cheese board.

Gluten free and suitable for Vegetarians.

There’s really no bread to it at all. It is simply figs, dates, candied oranges, apricots, and almonds mixed together into a sturdy paste, formed into a patty ready for slicing.

Store as fresh fruit in a cool, dry place and away from sunlight. Do not refrigerate.
