Rich, wholesome and delicious Borlotti beans from Vercelli, Piedmont, Italy
Borlotti beans have a lovely, nutty flavour and a creamy internal texture.
Try them pureéd with a good drizzling of EV olive oil on.
They are great for soups and stews and wonderful on their own as a side dish with some chilli oil, tossed in a salad or puréed to accompany a risotto. Also make a great foundation for a rich tomato pasta sauce.
