A rare Parmesan cheese that is to be savoured. This aging confers extremely complex flavours of almond, chestnut, toasted caramel and spice with a unique granular texture which adds a crunchiness to the bite.
Perfect with a full bodied red or dessert wines ot try with aged balsamic vinegar.
This Parmigiano is very special and is one of our signature products. You’ll be hard pushed to find a better one (and if you do we would love to know about it!).
About the Producers: Caseificio Fior di Latte
Situated in the beautiful mountain area of the Parmigiano Reggiano DOP region surrounded by lush green meadows, the conditions are perfect for milk production.
The dairy is a cooperative of 100 small farms that produce small quantities of excellent milk destined for cheese production. Artisan experts then transform this milk using timeless methods to produce this lovely Parmesan cheese which is sold in 2 small local shops near the farm.
This Parmesan has won many awards including 2 gold medals at the Cheese Olympics in Verona! It has also won a prestigious Double Gold Star at the Great Taste Awards, the Oscars of gourmet food in the UK!
Please note this is an artisan cheese which is hand cut, so weights may vary slightly.
