This Extra Gold Tuscan salami is an exceptional example of the art of meat curing.
It is expertly prepared by the maestro himself, 80 year old Signor Gelli at his workshop near Siena in Tuscany. We’ve been to visit Signor Gelli at his workshop on numerous occasions and after well over half a century of working with cured meats, his boyish enthusiasm is contagious and enthralling to behold. A great character!
The Tuscan salami is Mr Gelli’s signature product and the Extra Gold his finest version. It is tender, aromatic and full of flavour. Wonderful as a starter on any occasion. Try it with fresh bread, mixed grilled vegetables in oil and pickles with a glass of Tuscan wine and bring a real piece of Tuscany into your home!
